Why can’t every chat book a flight? Completing a booking needs current availability, passenger information, a final price, payment authorisation and a confirmation from the booking system. A chat that only explains or searches has not completed those steps.

Three things that can look like “AI booking”

A planning chat may suggest a route and suitable dates. A search assistant may show live flights but send you to a seller. A booking app can continue through passenger selection, payment and confirmation. All three can be useful, but only the final transaction creates the booking.

To identify the flow, ask a concrete question: “Can I complete this flight purchase here, and who helps me change it afterward?” Check the actual checkout and booking confirmation rather than assuming that a purchase happened because the assistant said it found a good option.

A better request for a flight from Germany

Include the details that would otherwise become filters. For example:

Frankfurt to Lisbon, outbound 18 November and back 21 November. One adult. Arrive before 3 pm, direct flight if available, one cabin bag. Show a fare I can change.

This is an example request, not a fare offer. Explicit dates avoid confusion around “next Friday.” An arrival deadline matters more than a vague request for a morning flight. Specify whether Frankfurt means FRA or whether you would consider another airport. “Hand luggage” is also worth checking against the exact size and weight in the fare.

How the request becomes a booking in Navia

  1. Describe the trip. Include the airports or cities, dates, number of passengers and important constraints.
  2. Review available options. Check flight numbers, local times, connections and baggage.
  3. Select the traveller. Reuse saved information, then verify names and documents for this trip.
  4. Approve the final total. Read the fare and any optional extras before authorising payment.
  5. Check the confirmation. Return to the booking details for the reservation, flight status and follow-up.

Express Checkout is designed for fewer repeated steps. First-time setup, payment authentication or a more complex itinerary can still take longer. The useful benefit is staying in the same flight workflow, rather than a promise that every journey takes an identical number of seconds.

German availability and international routes

Navia is listed in the German App Store and on Google Play. You can use German to describe your trip. Being based in Germany does not restrict a search to domestic flights, but not every airline, route or fare is available for every request. Check the actual options returned.

When comparing agents such as Instinct or Muse, check local feature access as well as the headline booking claim. An app’s global flight inventory is not the same thing as worldwide app availability.

Decide where the trip lives after checkout

The booking channel matters when you need a different departure or an invoice. In Navia, you manage the booking and contact support in the same app; Navia deals with the airline. Available changes remain subject to the ticket and airline. Our post-booking checklist covers this part of the choice.

Ready with a route and date? Download Navia, describe the trip and review an available flight before paying.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book a flight just by sending a message?

A message can start the search. In Navia, you then review the available itinerary and total, choose the traveller and authorise payment in the app.

Does a flight recommendation mean I have a reservation?

No. Look for a completed booking confirmation. A recommendation, price estimate or search result alone is not a ticket.

Can I ask for flights in German?

Yes. Navia supports German and is listed in the German App Store. Give exact dates, the route and the requirements that matter to you.

Will I have to enter every passenger detail again?

Navia can reuse saved traveller information. Review it before each booking, especially when a passport or passenger’s details have changed.
